Brunch at Pedler

PANCAKES, PANCAKES, PANCAKES and wine

Ah Pedler, one of the first to bring dangling filament bulb lighting to Rye road.

Pedler is the well known stylish eatery in Peckham. It offers an innovative menu of modern European dishes packed with seasonal ingredients. The menu is reinvented every day, consisting of small sharing dishes (£5-£12) served up on an array of mismatched crockery.

Luckily for us, Pedler is right on our doorstep, which makes a boozy brunch pretty accessible.

This neighbourhood restaurant is lively, humming along much like a New York Cafe. The restaurant is a tight stretch made up of an impressive mint marble top bar surrounded by rattan chairs, exposed brick walls decorated with kitsch vintage cabinets, upside down stag antlers and a large moose head.

It has strong brunch menu on offer - full of unusual flavours and combinations. With some great options for vege's as well, " 'shrooms on toast " usually have a starring role on the menu

On this occasion we went for fluffy pancakes with maple syrup butter (seriously tasty). We teamed this with a glass of wine. Perhaps not the most interesting choice, knowing Pedler is the home of Little Bird Gin. A small-batch British spirit which features in all their cocktails. But nonetheless is was a nice accompaniment to our pancakes (who doesn't love a boozy pancake brunch?).

The staff are inviting and very knowledgable about the dishes. They give you wonderful insight into the flavours and cooking methods. This attention to detail makes a huge difference to the dining experience.

Pedler is a hubbub of enjoyment with its eclectic vibe and cool soundtrack. Paired with an ever changing menu makes Pedler a firm favourite on the Peckham foodie scene.
