Not that men wearing nail polish is anything new – but London’s first nail bar for men has opened in Peckham. Jay Jay Revlon, a DJ, dancer and now nail technician has created a men’s pop up nail bar called Guys That Nail It, which is currently in the Prince of Peckham pub.

This new Peckham pop up nail salon offers manicures, pedicures, polish and gel extensions. On the Guys That Nail It website it says that this new London nail salon is ‘putting the needs of men first’ adding ‘Until now, nail treatments have been deemed as a womanly or feminine thing to do, and we’re throwing that narrative out of the box and saying nail treatments are for everyone.’

The idea behind this men’s salon is to create a space where men feel welcomed and comfortable getting their nails done without perhaps the out-dated stigma some men may feel walking into a current nail salon, which is predominately occupied by female customers.

Eventually, Jay Jay hopes to open a permanent space that offers a wide range of male grooming treatments from massaging, waxing to nail and hair care.
