Wood-fired pizza restaurant Pizza Pick up at the North end of Rye Lane near Pedler and co has closed down.

The Peckham pizza restaurant which served wood-fired pizza, antipasti & Italian cocktails started life as a street food vendor serving from the back of a 1961 Volkswagen Splitscreen DoubleCab Pickup truck has sadly closed its doors this October.

It’s always a little sad when an independent place shuts down (we hope Pizza Pickup go on to bigger and better things!) but now it leaves us wondering what is going to open in its place?
