Screen printing workshop run by 3rd Rail Print - London's biggest open access screen printing studio specialising in paper, fabric and t-shirt printing.

This workshop is the perfect introduction to t-shirt screen printing, the beginner workshop is ideal for anyone interested in learning the complete screen printing process or simply looking to print some t-shirts with their own design for a special occasion. The sessions will run from 10am – 4pm with a 1-hour break for lunch, a great opportunity to sample one of the many food kiosks located on levels 5 and 6 of the building. The day will be split as follows:

Morning

After a short intro into the history and process, you’ll be guided through the digital artworking process, if you prefer working by hand we’ll have a variety of drawing materials available for you to draw out your design from scratch. Once these are completed everyone will have a chance to coat their own screen.

Afternoon

After lunch, you’ll expose your design onto the screen. While they’re drying we’ll cover ink mixing and the process of setting up the t-shirt carousel ready for printing. When the screens are dry everyone will have a go at printing their t-shirts. Each person will walk away with 5 tees printed in a colour and size breakdown of their choosing.
