The massive seven-storey Edwardian building, literally a stone's throw away from Peckham Rye station is finally open and it’s pretty damn cool. The newly refurbished building is Market - a stylish coworking space in South East London created with small businesses and freelancers in mind.
The professional workspace is situated across 3 floors with private studios, fixed desks, hot desks, meeting rooms and relaxing break out areas. There are a few things we love about the collaborative workspace Market have built - it’s relaxed, beautifully designed and inviting, with plants galore- creating a zen-like vibe the moment you walk in.

Well, now you can! Next week (7th-11th October) you can work from one of the workspaces at Market for free. This is the perfect chance to 1. Have a snoop around the building 2. Immerse yourself in the coworking space and experience what it’s like to work there. You can try it out for 1 day or all 5 days - just book yourself a space here, with what days you’d like to work and how many of you there will be.
If you’re a freelancer, remote worker, side hustler or small business, being part of a coworking community is a great opportunity to not only have an independent working space but also the chance to network with other like-minded individuals and surround yourself with potential partners, clients and even mentors. This is the perfect way to see how using a coworking space might work for you!

As well as opening up their workspace area, Market will be hosting drop-in sessions where you can take advantage of local experts offering free advice to help support your business. You can book a slot to get one-on-one advice on various areas in your business such as finance & accounting, how to develop a business strategy and even voice coaching - to help build your confidence around public speaking. There will be an insightful talk about recognising and overcoming unconscious bias inside and outside the workplace plus a talk on ‘how to quit your shit job and be a freelancer’ - with advice and best practices on how to do it!
Market is more than just a workspace. It’s also home to a bar, restaurant, shop and events space. So whilst you check out the workspace area - have a look around the other floors (they are pretty cool).
On the rooftop, you will find the newly opened Forza Wine bar from same the team behind Forza Win. You can sip on a glass of wine whilst taking in the amazing London views from their rooftop garden. If you’re peckish head to the first floor, where you will find ramen restaurant Tonkotsu, a Japanese noodle bar, serving their signature homemade noodle ramens, gyozas and Japanese appetisers, alongside a selection of craft beer, sake and cocktails.
On the ground floor Market has just launched a shop which will be made up of a collection of small retailers including Bidhaair - an Afro-urban concept store featuring premium African fashion and lifestyle brands. If that wasn’t enough, in the basement of Market you’ll soon find Peckham Audio, a late-night live music venue!
