Cafe on the Rye

COFFEE ON PECKHAM RYE COMMON

This pavilion style cafe is the great little spot to grab a coffee on Peckham Rye common.

Located smack bang in the middle of the park means this little cafe is far from a calm oasis. It tends to get busy, and by busy I mean, lots of kids running around like maniacs.

But, despite this, it serves good coffee and a cheerful menu of homemade and locally sourced food. So far, I have only tried the vege sausage sandwich which for £3.50 did the job.

The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, with a team of young staff who are uber chilled and have a constant shuffle of cool tunes playing.

I would suggest grabbing a cappuccino, a packet of RSPCA bird seeds (60p) and take a walk through the ornamental gardens towards the lake to feed the ducks. Ideal for a Sunday stroll.
